Payment of Visa Fee with Debit Card
To enhance the process of visa fee payment procedure, the Chinese Consulate General after a comprehensive test, hereby introduces a new visa fee payment system, involving a bank debit card from June 1st 2010. This new payment method does not require filling of form and all the process could be accomplished in the "Collection Room". We regret that from June 1st 2010, cash payments or other mode of payments apart from the stipulated payment method below, will no longer be accepted.

According to the new payment method, applicants only need to come to the "Visa Collection Room" of the Chinese Consulate with his/her own debit card and swipe the card to make the payment, and then collect the passport(s) with visa(s).

In accordance with the subscribing banks, the card holder should show his ID and sign on the receipt to help verify his identity. Those who use other people's card, please come with the letter of authorization, or ask the card owner to come with you to make the payment.

The amount of money to be paid must be confirmed by the Consulate Cashier and each pick-up form be paid once.

Debit Cards from the following main 12 banks are now acceptable:

Stanbic IBTC, Wema Bank, Intercontinental Bank, Bank PHB, Oceanic Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, First Bank, Skye Bank, Unity Bank, and Union Bank.

More banks debit cards will be included before the end of June 2010.

In addition, the services are provided by the banks / InterSwitch company and please be informed that a service charge of 600 Naira will be charged for each payment.
